I have managed to create dhcpd.conf file to allocate ip addresses on my network. Is there some command that I can place in the .conf file so that I can also set the nameservers of my ISP?? Thanx Chris
Try something like the following, the line domain-name-servers sets the desired DNS servers. subnet 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 { range 192.168.0.129 192.168.0.254; default-lease-time 7200; option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0; option broadcast-address 192.168.0.255; option routers 192.168.0.1; option domain-name-servers 192.168.0.1, 65.242.27.2; option domain-name "yourdomain.com"; } On Wednesday 22 October 2003 08:53, Chris Roubekas wrote:

man dhcpd.conf will show all of the options available for dhcp. option domain-name-servers x.x.x.x will provide the dns addresses. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
