Hi all, Here is a site I ran across the other nite that would not work in Konqueror. Can some expert html person tell me why? All of the links are dead to Konq, but not Mozilla. I did not look at the code and not sure I would have known or seen the problem if I had, so I thought it best left to the "experts"! ;o) http://www.virclub.com Thanks, Patrick -- --- KMail v1.4 --- SuSE Linux Pro v8.0 --- Registered Linux User #225206 Magic Page Products -- Amiga-SuSE-PC Sales & Service URL: http://home.sprintmail.com/~tracerb

It doesn't work in my Konq either. At first, I thought it was becasue I had javascript turned off. There is lots of javascript on this page and an image map on the left. Even after I turned on javascript, the links still would not work. Interesting. Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ Got spam? Get spastic http://spastic.sourceforge.net

I'm not an expert, but I did take a look at the source, and it's pretty sloppy. Looks like somebody wrote it using a combination of WYSIWYG html editor, and a bad text editor. Lots of cases where there is ^M at the end of a line, and many instances of missing tags. I think this is just a case of Konq not being able to hande the bad code, whereas I think Moz might be a little more forgiving. Kevin

Hi, No, I have no explanation, as I'm the least expert on the subject. Out of pure curiosity, I just loaded the site, and it looks just as colorful in Konqueror as in Mozilla. I tried the link to Old Dominion, and it worked well. This surprised me, because in my system (7.3), many sites work well in Mozilla and not in Konqueror; I never understood why. -- Regards, gr, in /usually/ sunny, balmy Florida's Suncoast.

The links on the page do not work on my SuSE 8 Pro system in Konq 3.0.1. They work fine in Mozilla 1.0RC3 though :) I'd report it as a bug to KDE and let them fix in it 3.0.2 ;-) Have fun! -Steven

Well... Following Ben's nice ugrade guide, I upgraded KDE to 3.0.1 earlier today. And just for fun I went to that site again, with Konq which is now 3.0.1... and it still works...

I'd have to say that I don't believe it's Konqi having a problem... I dunno java, or whatever, maybe... Not Konqueror
Have fun!
I do ;) Jon
