Interesting Problem when screensaver comes on
I have an interresting problem that occurs any time my screensaver comes on. The screen blanks like it is supposed to but then goes to a new login screen. If I do the log from this screen, a new xsession starts on CTRL-ALT-F8. I can then switch to CTRL-ALT-F7 and see my previous session. OR If I first do CTRL-ALT-F7 (instead of logging in through the new login screen) then my first session returns and I get the standard screensaver login. I am using SuSE 8.0, kernel 2.4.18-4GB , KDE 3.0.4 and the simple blank screen screen saver. Anyone have any idea what I may have done to cause this odd behaviour and how I might fix it. TIA, Darrell Cormier
Hello I, and others to I think, have the same problem. I haven't found a solution, though. On my machine this behaviour only happens when I try to lock the screen, not when the screensaver kicks in after a period of inactivity, so I'm not that bothered. I use SuSE 7.3 and KDE 3.0.4. I posted a message to this board about it earlier, which you can find in the archives, together with some replies. On Friday 17 January 2003 21:14, Darrell Cormier wrote:
