Hi all! How can i see what flags a certain program is compiled with? I have gimp2 installed from rpm's, and i want to know if it is SMP aware (compiled with "--enable-mp") Is there a rpm switch to show how the binary is compiled? Or any other means of finding the info... -- /Rikard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rikard Johnels email : rikjoh@norweb.se Web : http://www.rikjoh.com Mob : +46 735 05 51 01 ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 >

As a rule of the thumb? Then don't install the RPM ... Joking aside, you have this info (compile flags) in the .spec or .config of the sources. - -- Rolf PowerPC Support Team -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBUoWTXHkVu7jnWhMRAvAXAJwKq0kfC8BXr8IFRFzyzwiOlPwzUwCfWhqU SePSzRtQv3TbewO5+JgbMYw= =PZdu -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

The source files you are after are on the 2nd DVD from the PRO version only. Updated packages from www.suse.com also have the source files available. Check on the ftp site, you will have to do some looking, I think you may find the sources there. I havn't looked in a long time. Also I think there is a checkbox in YOU to have it download the source file when you do the updates. Ken 8 to go
