Beg your pardon, but why would you want to do that when you have the free zip and unzip?

Don't tell me it's such an ancient program that it needs libc5? If it really is, I'd kick it out of the door. But what you need is probably the shlibs5 package. Philipp -- Penguins to save the dinosaurs -- Handelsblatt on Linux for S/390

PT> Beg your pardon, but why would you want to do that when you have the PT> free zip and unzip? The registered version of PKZIP/L allowes for AV which means that people can prove that the zip file originated from me. There are other benefits as well. Being a Fidonet person :)

I will mail them back and ask them if they cannot remove that dependency. Thanks for the advise. Well, nowadays I'd use md5 digests or use gpg/pgp signatures.

1:xxx/yyy.zzz if I remember correctly ?;-))) It's been quite some time since I've switched from Fido to Internet (about 6 years if I remember correctly and it's about 11 years that I discovered Fido). Maybe if I finally get around to set up my server I'll once again get me a node address, now that mainly the internet is used for transport. ....
I will mail them back and ask them if they cannot remove that dependency. Thanks for the advise.
They'd just have to recompile the program on a recent Linux system that uses libc6, aka glibc2. So it's not that hard to do. Philipp -- Windows (win-DOH-z), n.
