I know this is an RTFM question, but which field manual? I would like to run a daemon that periodically checks for updates on the 7.1 branch of the FTP site and pulls down new updates. Where do I find instructions on how to do that? TIA, Steve
That would be rsync :) This is what I would like to do too. Since I have multiple boxes, I would like to rsync the updates to a local box and update all from there. How about that SuSE? -- Nadeem Hasan nhasan@nadmm.com http://www.nadmm.com/ "Steven T. Hatton" wrote:

There is a perl proggie called 'mirror' that will do this. The official site is: sunsite.org.uk/packages/mirror hth! Ken -- "We can build a better product than Linux..." -- Microsoft VP Jim Allchin
A better solution is rsync, and is more secure. W.D.McKinney (Dee) deem@wdm.com On Fri, 2 Mar 2001, Ken Hughes wrote:
