Hi everyone.
I cannot get my printer working as I cannot get SuSE 7.0 to recognise the /dev/lp0 port. I realise that it is useless trying to install a printer if the port is not recognised. I have the BIOS set to legacy ISA with the parellel port set to 378 on interrupt 7 and with DMA disabled. I have disabled the plug and play support and set it to manual. The BIOS is AWARD.
Oh, the printer works fine under another operating system.
Any ideas anyone?
Change your bios settings so /devlp0 can be used; or use /dev/lp1 under linux.
