Hello all. I was trying to set up CUPS, and having no luck, so I tried to browse to http:127.0.0.1:631/admin and I get a login prompt. Sounds reasonable, except that I don't remember ever specifying a username and password for CUPS. Is there a default? Whatever it is, it's not "default", and it's not my local PC or network username and pwd. I've browsed hundreds of text files (including several cups-related config files that apparently have never been modified), and haven't seen anything helpful. Is there a doc that I've missed reading? SuSE 7.3. Thank you. /kevin

Sorry, shoulda mentioned... I tried that, too. No joy. Something must be badly broken, then. I will uninstall everything that looks or smells like CUPS and try again. /kevin On Thu, 2002-04-11 at 14:04, John Lamb wrote:
