Doesn't work, this is the error I am getting root@cojones:/home/jkrough > rcnfsserver restart Shutting down NFS server done Starting NFS server requires portmapper \033[71G\033[31m\033[1mfailed\033[mroot@cojones:/home/jkrough > I was and I still am pretty sure that it is a problem with portmap but I do not know where or what to look at. I was able to mount my remote directory before but not any longer. Also this machine is the client machine so I should not need the nfs server installed or running. tart yast (now "hinting" from my german screen... ) choose "network configuration" then "configure network services" answer a few question, preferebly with yes, particulary the one about portmap ;-) Juergen
