Hello, To debug some setup in her computer one of my daughters give me access through ssh. She have a fiber link said to be very fast, but her computer is old and slow I connect, but the speed is extremely slow. I can, for example, launch chromium (with long waiting) but firefox draw his window, but do not fill it. my link is ssh -X -p 49152 jdd@91.X.Y.Z of course on her side, the port 49152 is redirected to 22. this port number is mostly given by her ISP (only some ports can be redirected) is there any setup I could add to make this better? my side is only dsl, but I have a much better link to my remote server thanks jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Try other tools, lie xeyes or emacs. A web browser transmits pictures, and that is slow. - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. Try using the -C option. See 'man ssh'. Maybe with some custom CompressionLevel setting. Have a nice day, Berny -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
