OOo installs by default. You've deleted it? Use software management to install it and it will be on the desktop.
I am sure I did not intentionally remove the package, if it is removed by the package manager for some reasons I don't know. I installed gnucash-docs & opear using the package manager and I don't know what else it did. I already tried to search for "openoffice" in available packages and found more than 20 packages, none of them contain the word "Writer" or "Calc" in it. If you can name the package I need to re-install. I think installing all of them could be another mistake. I found a package called "OpenOffice_org-help-zh-CN" and I think to myself, installing this package couldn't be wrong. So I install it, and get the error message as in the attachment of this email. It seems to me this problem is connected to the other one I raise on the same list ("Can I use gnucash?") that the software management is not clear what packages are really on the online repository. Because it sounds unreasonable to me that gnucash-doc is in the repository but gnucash itself not.
