CUPS, PPD Printer and Print parameters...
Hi ! I have a Printer using PPD file. This printer is well configurer with YaST (it is a Networdk Printer) Everythong works fine, but as I have installer the PPD file in order to get all the features available with this printer, I am wondering how I can get the parameter properties when I want to print some pages. For Exemple, I would like to know how I can use Photo instead normal property when I want to print some high detailled pages. I am able to do that through CUPS manager (http://localhot:631) but not with applications (GIMP, OpenOffice, Netscape...) The other solution is to use LPR instead and install GnuPR, but I am willing to keep CUPS, so do you have an idea on how I can solve this problem ? Arnaud

Set up multiple queues with different print quality and paper type.

With gimp, it is better to use gimp-print. Charles -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+U+pf3epPyyKbwPYRAkF9AKC3tEfpMsCLO3bAdqw2BQXLPTZ3JgCfbrVz qvLlXMITVA3lWz1sP1d86WI= =w76j -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
Thank you for you advice, but I don't know how to configure that with CUPS (I know how to do that with Printcap but not CUPS) Do you have a file configuration to show me in order to have a basis to work ? Thanks Charles Philip Chan wrote:

Just add and configure a bunch of printers from the web interface. Charles -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+U+6Q3epPyyKbwPYRAjBpAKCDXy9yP1zjS0312iruM1HR/ia0cACgzuRY eb1EFtqiHUSDxVSUXqeqo8c= =f38J -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
