Hello, I'd like to know if SuSE 6.3 has any application allowing to listen to streamed mp3 files in the '.pls' format that I can use together with Netscape as a helper application. I know that for Windows both RealPlayer 7 and Winamp would do the trick. I've tried to set up the RealPlayer G2 beta for Linux without sucess. Thanks a lot. -- Dr. Luis A. I *hear* that XMMS does a pretty good job, but I've never figured out the exact syntax for making it work with Nutscrape :]. The G2 Player/Linux does not do MP3 decoding, so that's not a viable answer right now... -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x121 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
I am not sure where these instructions came from, but they worked for me. Here are the settings for xmms: Description: Whatever MIMEType: audio/x-scpls Suffixes: .pls Application: /usr/bin/xmms %s Avi Jon Pennington wrote:

XMMS will do it as well as X11amp. Avi "Luis A. Fernandez" wrote:

Avi, you're silly. XMMS *is* (was, rather) X11amp ;). -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x121 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
