I know, these should goto the KDE2 list but I think what would be best is if we possibly all composed a complete list of issues weve noticed ourselves and then have one person, possibly from SuSE post to the KDE2 lists with the things we've discovered. Anyone have and thoughts? Anyway, heres a couple of things I've noticed right off on my system 1. icons that launch an xterm/rxvt window with a program, ie: -e pine or -e ssh don't work when they have the -title option in the command. Or in the cae of ssh if the -e option has more then just the command, ie: ssh -l root -x daydream. 2. window behaviors, random window placement, don't place randomly, they still want to snap to the corners like smart placement would do. 3. 'Look and Feel' color option brings back menubars without selecting the 'show menubar button'. 4. unclicking the show contents while moving/resizing places you back on virtual desktop 1 rather then leaving you on the current desktop. 5. nolonger have option to not show particular titlebar buttons, ie: minimize, maximize, etc.. either that, or theres nolonger a launch for the comman in the preferences menu. 6. line upt icons doesn't center, they now line up left justified. 7. can nolonger move windows with arrow keys (not sure if that's a kde issue). -- S.Toms - tomas@primenet.com - www.primenet.com/~tomas SuSE Linux v7.0+ - Kernel 2.2.17 I gave up Smoking, Drinking and Sex. KDE2 does not use the user defined xmodmap althoug it perfectly works under KDE 1.1.2 ( I can not type anything in Turkish in KDE2 yet it works perfectly under KDE 1.1.2) -- Togan Muftuoglu toganm@turk.net 100% MS FREE Absolutely no component of Microsoft was used in the generation or posting of this e-mail. tm> tm> On my system The floppy and cdrom icons do not work. They come back with a device not found in /etc/fstab and /etc/mtab. They are configured the same as in KDE 1.1.2 I checked. For now my solution is to use KDE for those tasks.
