Keyboard "extra" keys assignment
Hi Is there a way to make those "extra" keys on keyboard to start for example konqueror with parameters? I know the scan-code (from xev). For example in Locitech i-keyboard there is "E-mail" key, with scan code 236. I would like to make it start k-mail... how to do this in SuSE 9.0 / KDE? Jaska.

Right-click the K-menu; choose menu editor. Choose Internet / Email / Kmail and press the "current shortcut key". Press the desired key on your keyboard. FX -- ______________________ Courtesy of SuSE Linux http://www.nibz.org
Hi Thanks, that did the trick partly... Some of the keys seems to give a combination that is not possible to assign there.. but mostly the important ones works now.. I'll dig deeper with the keys that gives some special combination/sequence. Jaska. FX Fraipont kirjoitti viestissään (lähetysaika Maanantai 19. Tammikuuta 2004 23:46):

I suggest you have a look at LinEAK. LinEAK is a utility designed to enable the use and configuration of those special keys on Internet, Easy Access and Multimedia keyboards in Linux. http://lineak.sourceforge.net/index.php?nav=docs -- Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------------------------------
