SuSE 9.3 :: Linksys WMP54G (RA-2500 chipset) supported?
Hi Everyone, A friend of mine bought a Linksys WMP54G (Ralink RT2500 wireless chipset) hoping for an "out-of-the-box" experience. Sadly not the case. We've been working with the Serialmonkey driver etc. and that has had it's challenges over the phone. Anyway, if anyone knows for certain the chip-set or the card is natively supported (i.e. out-of-the-box) in 9.3 I'd love to know about it. The card itself isn't showing up on SuSE's hardware list, but that doesn't necessarily mean the chip-set isn't supported. Thanks Marcel

I haven't checked, but you might try either ndiswrapper (http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/) or Linuxant's driverloader (http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/) to load the Windows drivers if you have no luck with native ones. HTH, -- Bill
