[SLE] Kpackage utility, no packages displayed, 6.4
Hello All: In earlier versions of suse the utility would open with the RPM categories displayed in the left panel. Now that panel is completely blank. Haven't had any success in displaying the RPM. Any answers on why the program doesn't start correctly. I had this problem with a fresh install of 6.4 . Went to the SuSE site and dl'd the kpackage.rpm update for 6.3 and solved the problem. Kinda feel lost w/out kpackage, don't you? I use it ALL the time. Have you tried rebuilding the rpm database (rpm --rebuilddb), or, search out the location of the rpm database manually and selecting it. Possible Kpackage thinks it is somewhere else. JLK

This is not good. I just bought and installed 6.4 and I see the same problem. I might understand the need to rebuild if I had tampered but can't we expect this to work out of the box? I just tried the rebuild but this didn't help. Was the answer to this already posted and I missed it?
