RE: [SLE] Athlon Processor - Checking the temp under Linux
Hi Paul, Goto this link http://www.icrontic.com/faq/index.php3? theme=4&level=2&document_id_select=3 In the left part of the page, select "17. Unix" then "17.2". I havennt checked the program yet since I just found out about it today. Note I pasted the single link into two lines! Sinan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Hi.
I found this interesting, since I had never completed sensors
configuration for Linux. On the kernel I included:
-Character->i2c: VIA596
-Character->sensors: Winbond
The info for this is on my mobo manual (Asus P3V133). Corresponding
modules seem to be i2c-viapro and w83781d.
Now I know I should be able to access voltages, cpu fan, mobo temp and
cpu temp (incidentally, since my PIII is slot 1, I had added a
termocouple to sense cpu temp, attached to CPU temp mobo connector).
With gkrellm I see the voltages and cpu fan, but only one temp, and this
seems confusing from the doc, since I understand it says "assign 'cpu'
or 'mb' label to temp/fan to see them, and where".
I also miss something. How can, in clear terms, be fans and temps
watched?
