hi all, with some very useful help from this list, i managed to get e-mail and internet access on my linux-box (SuSE6.4). now i hope someone will offer me some pointers on the next step: getting access to a network drive and printer... if i understand correctly, i can use smbclient for this, but i'm running into some trouble: when i boot my machine in windows, the printer shows up as \\GOCNT\E09_pr. in linux, i tried typing `smbclient //GOCNT/E09_pr', but to no avail. i get an error saying "access denied". furthermore, the network disk available to me shows up in windows explorer as `J.Kremers$ on Gocnt'. i'm not entirely sure what i should call it in linux, but whatever i type, i get the same error 'access denied'. i am prompted for a password, but AFAIK, i have none. any ideas? second question: i gathered from what i heard earlier that it should be possible to mount such a network drive, and also to print directly from X-apps (i'm running KDE) without having to start smbclient from the command prompt. i haven't found any documentation on this in the samba doc-directory. is there any available?
