Look into this URl http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ and it will get you started. It's a good starting point regardless of which version of suse you are using. The apt howto is here: http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/apt-howto/index.en.html The first url will give you most of the info and background you need. Good luck, Richard
