We have the PERC2 SCSI controller that the stock kernel cannot see, so we'd like to get the driver, etc.
Try 8.2 first. It probably has up to date drivers off the CD. I put some postings on this list back in December about getting 8.1 up on a 2650 with 3/D It involves getting to "Manual Install" and loading the drivers by hand then the installer can see the disks to partition. Still the system won't boot, so you need to reboot off the CD again, and doing an FTP kernel upgrade. Check that all the drivers for the root partition are in /etc/sysconfig/kernel:"INITRD_MODULES" first. michaelj -- Michael James michael.james@csiro.au System Administrator voice: 02 6246 5040 CSIRO Bioinformatics Facility fax: 02 6246 5166
