Hello Admins This is an Xserver issue... When i use gvim ( Vi improved version gui ) on linux i get those colors for the text file but on Solaris 2.7 the gvim does not produce any color...is there some file should i make changes to enable the gvim to use the colors. I tried adding fdepth 24 in /etc/dt/config/Xservers file but does not do any good.. Can anyone help me in this issue... If you're talking about systax highlighting, then you need to edit your gvim config file (.vimrc or .gvimrc or something) and add the line: syntax on
