What repos? zypper lr? And, BTW, I don't think you want KDE 4.1.3. -dnh, who doesn't use KDE at all, but if using KDE (Apps), then one should use the latest versions, i.e. 3.5.something or the current KDE4 "stable" (whatever it's at now). For oS 11.1 I think it'd be 4.3.5 from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/STABLE:/Desktop/openSUS... Choose your poison ;P KDE4 is still beta (or worse), IMO, though I read that >= 4.3 or >= 4.4 is usable. I've got no opinion on that, as I don't use it. BTW: for a KDE, that's "early". Usually, it's only the last minor version before the next major that actually is stable (e.g. 3.5). -- "It is very easy to be blinded to the essential uselessness of them by the sense of achievement you get from getting them to work at all." -- The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy on the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. No I'm not a big fan of KDE 4*, but I wanted to give it the go rather than rely on other's misgivings about it. Enable this for KDE 4.4.3 . It works fine here. If it has problems they are in applications or procedures that I don't use. The only problem after recent update was Akregator crash on startup, but removing duplicate feeds from: ~/.kde4/share/apps/akregator/Archive it works again. As I can see in KDE bugzilla, bug is very old and it was just taken over to KDE4.

Next one, so far I know, should not be enabled except if you are developer and you know why you need it. It was not one user that complained on dependency problems and the solution was to disable separate Qt repo.

Few below, between lines of "---", don't need refresh, so to cut down on zypper start up time you can remove refresh action from them. ---------------------

You have it as repo 7 that is enabled, so just watch not to have both enabled.

Education can have some KDE packages, so disable it until you finish KDE upgrade.

Below is duplicate of repo 10. You need only one. I'm not sure does zypper ignore duplicated repos, if not then it will spend time refreshing, in this case the same repo, twice.

I've killed them both, I've been rebuilding the darn module every time I've had a kernel update, so neither are of any value.

I don't offhand remember either, but it was needed for a package that I wanted at the time. Many Thanks, Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
