I am, once again, attempting to install CUPS on my SuSE9.0 system. Several problems have surfaced immediatly after running YaST2 Printers. The system will not allow me to login at CUPS at localhost. It keeps rejecting my username and password - I've tired them all, both root and user with no succes. If I attempt to use either xpp or gtklp I get the same response: ** ERROR **: No printers found ! aborting... Suggestions will be very welcome. Thanks in advance. -- Stephen P. Please, I read the list and do *not* require, need or want a cc. Also, please trim your quotes. http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

Perhaps we need to post the answer to this every other week! lppasswd -a <username> Supply the password and you now have access to cups with that user name. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989 SuSE since 1998 * Only reply to the list please*
