Help using Yast2 -i to install an rpm package
I need help with Yast2. Below is the record of my attempt to install
enlightenment. There are some dependency problems and I expected that
Yast2 would resolve them. Instead, this is what I got:
linux:/home/user/temp # yast2 -i enlightenment-0.16.5-809.i586.rpm
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid XDM-AUTHORIZATION-1 key (failed key comparison)
What happened? How do I fix it?

use "xhost +localhost" in your user window to allow root to write on the display. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

Thank you! I did as you suggested, then changed to su and hit yast2-i
enlightenment*, up came yast, with the sign "initializing", then, that
screen went black and I was back at the prompt. So, I assume it worked.
Now, to find out how I put enlightenment in my sign-in menu.

control center -> system manager -> login manager -> (tab) sessions -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
