No luck with download from Suse server, presumably too much load from everyone else. No luck with mirrors who don't have the release yet. -- Simon Dales, Software Consultant "The impossible is easy"

So the net's busy then? When can we expect "business as usual"? -- Simon Dales, Software Consultant "The impossible is easy"

download it via torrent, speed in very high..
if you don't want to do that, just wait a few days the servers load will decrease..

I just hope you're still seeding them... Things are a little slow over here (east coast usa). I'm finally starting to get some reasonable speeds over the torrent (~35-50 KB/s), but I think the suse tracker was inaccessible most of the night (the downloading was stopped this morning and I had to resume it). I'm seeding both the OSS delta ISOs and the full ISOs and, it's strange to see that there's almost no-one fetching the deltas[0]. With the difference being only a 240MB download rather than 3.1GB, you'd have thought people would have preferred the smaller download and to use applydeltaiso[1]. Doesn't look to be the case though. [0] 10 seeds and 5 downloading the deltas, compared to 828 seeds and 1674 downloading the full ISOs. [1] That's how I actually got the full OSS ISOs that I'm seeding :) Regards, David Bolt -- Member of Team Acorn checking nodes at 50 Mnodes/s: http://www.distributed.net/ AMD 1800 1Gb WinXP/SuSE 9.3 | AMD 2400 160Mb SuSE 8.1 | AMD 2400 256Mb SuSE 9.0 AMD 1300 512Mb SuSE 9.0 | Falcon 14Mb TOS 4.02 | STE 4Mb TOS 1.62 RPC600 129Mb RISCOS 3.6 | A3010 4Mb RISCOS 3.11 | A4000 4Mb RISCOS 3.11

Most mirrors have the 10.0 GM and/or the 10.0 OSS and there also is the torrent. As you do not give any details, other help is looking in a crystal ball. houghi -- Quote correct (NL) http://www.briachons.org/art/quote/ Zitiere richtig (DE) http://www.afaik.de/usenet/faq/zitieren Quote correctly (EN) http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

Maybe a trick: from the OSS page I tried a download. It would not really start. However, I noticed the http stuff would actually call an ftp site (?), so I copied the link and wrote a quick bash script for wget, started that and went to work on Friday - when I came back I just had to burn the 5 CDs and install. when, like now, ftp is hardly working, bitorrent is a must. so many users are online, the download is fast. I had my 5 cd's in less than a day jdd -- pour m'écrire, aller sur: http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.net http://arvamip.free.fr
