You could try the simple approach. From a shell do: echo ATDT phonenumber > /dev/modem If it works, you could create a new menu in KDE or GNOME and put entries in there that simply call the above command with the appropriate number. Regards Ole

Well there is an older tcl wish script out there called tkphone, that does just what you want. But it has a few bugs: 1. I had to manually enter the first name to the addressbook. 2. It seems to have an error with the newer tcl when you dial. If you could trace out the error, it would be a nice app. -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
