Hi I'm still struggling to understand why my DVD is no longer recognized by the AIC78xx driver despite being visible to the Adaptec controller on boot. Are there any utilities available in Linux that scan the SCSI bus? Are there known problems of this kind with the AIC78xx drivers? I use the Adaptec 2940U2W controller and this seems to have happened after upgrading from 6.3 to 6.4, but that may be coincidental Any help PLEASE! Try sgcheck. Also, it is possible that it is now being recognized as a different device name than it was with the previous version. If so, sgcheck will reveal it. -- Brad Shelton On Line Exchange http://online-isp.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
