[opensuse] 11.0 and iPhone 3G
Using 11.0 x86 64 with kde 4.1. I just got an iuphone 16gig 3g and thought since the base OS of the iphone is linux (bsd) that when i plug in the iphone to 11.0, i might just see the phone/space. In fact, when i plug it in, opensuse 11 does not even notice i plugged it in via usb. Has anyone here gotten the 3g to work in 11.0? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Never pursued anything after that though. - -- Steve Reilly http://reillyblog.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIm6WlUpqfZIdKFyERArCOAKCdVKuaHW1UOaO81Z3PtGIvlyIg8ACfWizD 5Z8BmzLhKmn3P/iFpiJCpcc= =2BUz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

First, the iPhone runs Apple Mac OS X, which has a BSD-based kernel. In
other words, it has a similar core to Linux, but they are in every other
way incompatible.
If you are interested in syncing music and video to the iPhone, I
suggest taking a look at an application called GtkPod. They are
compatible with the first-gen iPhone, I'm not sure about the iPhone 3G
but if you look around the website I'm sure you could find an
answer :-).

Gphoto allows downloading photos when pluging in iPhone on 11.0. If you want full features you need sshd installed and running in iphone, you can only access it via wifi. Here is the tool you can use. http://software.opensuse.org/search?baseproject=openSUSE%3A11.0&p=1&q=ipod-convenience Ciao -J -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
