[opensuse] kde 4.5.3 - why does pager rows get reset to 1 on every upgrade?
Guys (Will in particular) I updated to kde 4.5.3 and just like the upgrade to 4.5.2 the kicker pager row setting was reset to 1. So I reset it to 2 again. But the question - why does it keep getting reset to 1? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Also, while I'm on 4.5.3, what about eliminating some of the old wallpapers? 75.4 meg of wallpaper download is getting pretty out of hand. The wallpapers are 13M bigger than kde-workspace. You don't have to download it. I don't. I use my own images for wallpaper. Actually I re-use old images of mine; you know, be green, reduce (what you download), re-use and re-cycle though them. there's a setting for that :-) -- To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk. -- Thomas A. I don't know. It didn't happen to me :-/ How come all these problems happen you, David? -- The radical of one century is the conservative of the next. The radical invents the views. Just lucky I guess -- or kde4 actually has a soul and it's paying back for all the bugs I've filed against it :p Both the issues are small potatoes. The frustrating part is nothing was fixed with regard to konqueror (file manager) tree view focus handling, etc.., etc.. Some day perhaps. (fingers crossed) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. That seems reasonable to me :-) It fulfils the "necessary and sufficient" conditions .... !

Ah. "File manager". Right. That's what I use it for too. None of this "Dolphin" nonsense. "One tool to view them all". But the existence of Dolphin seems to be sucking the maintenance blood - oops it past Halloween! - out of Konqueror. I've never figured why they came up with Dolphin. It doesn't seem to do anything Konqueror was or was heading to do.
Some day perhaps. (fingers crossed)
Keep filing those bugs, David. I'll even put up with your anti-KDE4-subtext since you *are* spuring the developers on. :-) -- Man's mind once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimension. -- Oliver Wendell Holmes. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
