Hi, when using OpenOffice in SuSE V8.1, I get an error when saving temp files, work files, etc. I believe that it is a permission problem, but I don't know how to correct the problem. Can someone provide any help? Thanks. --Juan

i made /opt/openoffice.org/share world writable so I could alter the default templates as a user other then root. But, I am the only user, so milage may vary depending on your setup. -Jeric

How did you install OO-1.0.1?????? If you installed the binary from www.openoffice.org, then I recommand to remove OO. And install as root "../OpenOffice.org1.0.1/install/setup -net". This install the Network version of OO.... After this do: "/opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.1/program/setup" as a user. To install it for that user...... You then choose the Workstation install..... -- Thanks in advance, Stefan -------------------------------------------------------------- Linux a world without borders, fences, windows and gates.....
