Hi I 'm having the same problem as Charles. I have installed SuSE 8.1 on my PC with the Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI board. I could scan for the TV sender and KWinTV worked although without audio (this should be a problem of the PVR board related with certains chips). After installing the patches with YOU I couldn't start the KWinTV anymore. I have removed the TV board configuration with YaST2 and removed the kwintv and v4l-conf packages. After reinstalling them again I can still not start KWinTV anymore as before the YOU patching. Any idea how to solve the problem? I think SuSE should look at the patches and remove the bugs, because this behaviour happens with several TV boards and should be a general problem. Enrico
Hi Start kwintv in a text-console, and look at the output. It is probably that kv4lsetup is complaining about its rights.. Jaska.
