Whenever I try to run an NFS install I get the following code after it attempts to launch Yast or Yast2. Suse support database comes up with nothing. return code is 32512 (errno = 2) Anybody know what the problem is? Adam, I just set up my nfs at home. Didn't need to install it. SuSE's got
kernel support already built in (unless you're using something pre 7.2 cause
I only know about 7.2)
To tell if you've got it already do
cat /proc/filesystems
You'll see a list with an entry like
nodev nfs
if you already have nfs.

I also install NFS for my home. I don't need to install anything. Just go to Yast2 (or Yast) then click the NFS server. That's it.
Just a note, I am referring to an NFS install, not installing NFS. You can install Suse from CD, NFS, FTP, etc. Adam Oliver aolive1@umbc.edu http://userpages.umbc.edu/~aolive1/ http://www.meyedev.com/people/aoliver.htm AOL IM: Zor_Prime09 Yahoo IM: GendoIkari69 MSN Messenger: GendoIkari69@yahoo.com -----Original Message----- From: Isen Kusima [mailto:cycnus@cbn.net.id] Sent: Monday, January 21, 2002 4:08 AM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] NFS install error On Monday 21 January 2002 05:57 am, Adam Oliver wrote:

You should always mention which version of SuSE you're using/trying to use. There was a problem with the boot images in 7.3 for ftp, and I think it affected nfs installation as well. Try getting the latest version from the suse ftp site regards Anders
