On WindowsXP, I have my login credentials of \\DOMAIN\userid, and when I look at the Outlook 2000 settings, my mailbox is listed as "Cordell, Ronald L.". However, using that name in KMail does not work. My email is actuall "rcordell@company.com", but rcordell doesn't work for the mailbox name,

Try using this as your IMAP login:

//DOMAIN/userid/rcordell
