Hi I'm new to Linux and trying to get all hardware working as it would be in Win98, so I have downloaded a driver for the Iomega Zip 100 drive and the file has a tgz file extention. I've tried using tar ( tar -xf filename.tgz) but can't extract the contents. Is there another utility I should be using or is there some other magic I'm not aware of? tar has a flag "z" to handle zipped files tar xzf filename.tgz but I think the iomega drive is supported in suse out of the box. You shouldn't have to download any drivers for it. regards Anders -- I swear I do declare - how did you get that there?
