How do I install WIN32 Codecs and get them to work ?
Just add the packman repository to the yast installation sources packman.unixheads.com/suse/10.2 and then in software management search for w32codec-all and install it. -- John Registered Linux User 263680, get counted at http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

They have to be unpacked into a specific directory to be found by mplayer and others. See the readme file that came with the sources - or use a package manager like 'smart' and it will be done automatically for you when you install them as a package. It is the same process with many distros. Gavin -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Just install the package, it'll work no need to fiddle. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yes, as long as the package was made correctly it will be installed correctly. -- John Registered Linux User 263680, get counted at http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
