Hi, I just upgraded my linux box from 8.2 to 9.1 and I have now a very slow machine when I turn on the ASDL connexion (which is not working too). So it seems that the problem is connected to how to configure DHCP and how suse upgrade is doing that. I tried many unsuccessful "solutions" and I remarked that suse 9.1 detect automatically the two network card while they are sometimes not configured. The ADSL modem-router is connected to the second network card. my question now is : How to get rid of this problem get my internet connexion working again and have my "fast" machine working. Thanks a lot --------------------------------- Yahoo! Mail : votre e-mail personnel et gratuit qui vous suit partout ! Créez votre Yahoo! Mail Dialoguez en direct avec vos amis grâce à Yahoo! Also, When I use yast2 to configure the network, I always get this message : kernel : Disabling IRQ #5 What this means? B. --------------------------------- Yahoo! I don't have 9.1 yet, but you can check what that IRQ is with "cat /proc/interrupts". Also, there is probably more info in file '/var/log/boot.msg' and/or '.../kernel.log' -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
And now when I open the modem-router by mozilla with his address I get the message : connexion refused to 192.168.1.1 I am really lost!! --------------------------------- Yahoo!
