Shortly we will be getting the Strong Hold SSL server (commerical Apache 1.3.6 w/SSL support), what I was wondering, if after the Server is setup how do I test if it is working correctly? I know some about Apache, but never used SSL before, is there an HTML tag that I put into an .html file to make it SSL enabled, or does the SSL enabling have to be done in a directive under the httpd.conf? I would like to be able to setup a test page as soon as the server is installed, any ideas? Maybe this is a dumb answer, but I just set up a page with sim'll get the simple body tags and a line of text like "testing". Then test it with https://www.mysite.com and if you have apache configured correctly you'll get the secure page. In netscape click on the little padlock in the bottom left of the status back and you can see the security certificate info. hth Chris On Mon, 20 Mar 2000 08:14:27 -0600, Jack Barnett wrote:
