Hi everyone. The HOWTO on CR-R says that I have to change in /etc/conf.modules alias scsi_hostadapter off to alias scsi_hostadapter ide-scsi When I do this, the bootup messages tell me to delete the file /etc/conf.modules and instead it reads from /etc/modules.conf Can anyone help me with this? cdrecord -scanbus still tells me that 'Cannot open SCSI driver'. I believe conf.modules is a symbolic link to modules.conf. Doesn't matter which file name I use to edit, the changes shows up in both. I think conf.modules used to be the old naming convention and the symbolic link is maintained for backward compatibility.
