Yeah the ACBI bios thinger. During set up you can make sure it is turned off. You can also go into the BIOS and change it. I have tried both, upon rebuilding the darned thing, just for giggles. I am new to the whole Suse experience, and have recently purchased the
Openexchange Server 8 for my office. I am still in development stages of it, but I have been noticing some major problems.
The server is a Duel 1.5 AMD Athlon, 1 gig memory, duel Kernal Raided 80 gb HD.
The first problem I have is the system locks up after it has been idle
for a period of time.
This causes the database to corrupt and lose the information.
Any ideas as to why this happens?
Ryan- This might be a simple item, but is there some sort of power management configured to power things down in the BIOS? My Tyan Dual Athlon MP board came with the powersave BIOS settings configured to power things down after 30 minutes of idle. good luck from up the road in South City, brian -- Brian Jackson Photo http://www.brianjacksonphoto.com Action Athletics "Sports Photography for You" http://www.actionathletics.com

I'd look for a heat related problem. Could be CPU fans, memory, or even the power supply not getting enough cooling. I'm running a dual Athlon with big heatsinks and fans, cooling on the memory chips, and 4 fans in the case. Two of the case fans cool the hard drives which have heatsinks on them.. If you would like more info, give me a holler off list.
