orca seems not to be installed by default. maybe run a command as root something like: zypper install orca Depending on what you already have installed, it will probably pull in about 75 packages from Gnome. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well I just tried it in a shell on my opensuse/KDE fresh install and it wasn't there. Maybe it would have been there if I ran Gnome. Then I looked in yast, saw the package, but also saw that it was not installed. I think I recall someone else lamenting months ago that it did not seem to install by default any more making it one step harder for the blind. I fired up my Ubuntu/Gnome virtual machine and found orca installed already. I then tried my Ubuntu/KDE virtual machine and it was NOT installed there either. So this package seems some how to go missing if KDE is installed but is available if Gnome is installed. It may be not something Opensuse is doing. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

it's not installed in my 11.4 and i think you're going to want a 'sudo' in front of that install command, as in sudo zypper install orca sc -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
