I have a TFT450 Flat Panel and occassionally I get squiggly-screen. It seems to happen when I come out of YaST. Sometimes it will quit after a while. It looks like it doesn't like the refresh rate, to be honest. But for 1024 I can't change it, it's locked on 75 though somehow it did read 71 once. I've used this monitor since 9.0. I'm stumped. -- <<JAV>>
Hi Joe,
What is tha max resolution you can go up to? Higher
means higher refresh rate.
Also check that you have selected the brand of
monitor you have in Yast, as otherwise Yast will
assume safe settings and say something like Vesa or
generic LCD. The dimensions in mm of the screen will
be important for the resolution as well.
Be careful when you are making changes there using SAX
(it is preferred for making these change as the config
files are overwritten by the sax configs ... I think
at boot time). I have completly crash my Linux OS only
when I made unreasonable changes there.
Good luck.
