Hi all, New question, I just installed OpenOffice1.0 (while I wait for Gobe Productive to get finished). I did a test page and thought that (as OO may be my main word processor for awhile) I'd include some graphics. When I view the page on screen everything appears correctly proportioned, but when I do a print out the graphics are distorted (stretched out). I did a comparison print from gimp and the proportions were as I expected, and printed as they appeared. Mysteriously In kword the graphic appears squashed in the other direction (when viewed on screen) but prints out correctly. How can I get printouts to consistently match with what is shown on my monitor. I run at 1280*1024 resolution on my monitor, my first thought would be related to this, but as I get 3 diferent results from 3 programs I think the problem must go deeper than this. Its's only a matter of time before my wife tries to print a graphic through linux and this will be a deal breaker for her Thanks in Advance for your Ideas -- dh I've been awake: 1 hours 22 minutes Suse Linux 7.2 professional kernel 2.4.17, xFree86 4.2.0, kde 2.2.2

dh,
Do you have AntiAlias on? If so, turn it off and give it a try.
No anti-aliasing here. Awhile back I couldn't print from kde at all (except for cups test pages which always printed marvelously. Over and over and over...) the problem was an interaction between ghostscript and the Anti-Alias settings of kde. Any more ideas? -- dh I've been awake: 3 hours 19 minutes Suse Linux 7.2 professional kernel 2.4.17, xFree86 4.2.0, kde 2.2.2
