YaST2 doesn't start in Qt mode
YaST2 doesn't start in Qt mode anymore on my SuSE 8.0 box. Is there a way to force it to use Qt ui insted of ncurses one?

There a number of conditions that cause YaST2 to start in ncurses mode. For example, if the QT plugin (/usr/lib/YaST2/plugin/libpy2qt.so.2) does not exist, or if the DISPLAY variable is not set (you start a root shell as a user in X). Look at the YaST2 core script in /sbin/yast2. Best Regards, Keith -- LPIC-2, MCSE, N+ Linux soldat -- 8.0 SuSE panzer division Got spam? Get spastic http://spastic.sourceforge.net

I've made a qt.so.3 symlink to qt.so.2. y2controlcenter starts now, but I can't start any module. y2base process starts and nothing happends.

Did you upgrade gcc to 3.1? -- Mads Martin Jørgensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort?" -- A. P. J.

No. I've actutally done "apt-get upgrade" but gcc is 2.95.3
