Anybody care to send me the 70MB monster on a CDR ?
About a month ago, I downloaded the thing. I'm supposed to have a 56K modem, but it took nearly six (6) hours... When I tried to install it, I got a list of 55 files missing. I deleted all. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for a CD with a **complete** collection. gilson

I downloaded the Windows and Linux versions while I was at lunch... Helps that work has a 1Mb connection to the backbone...:-) If I could ever work out how .BIN files are installed, I'd happily cut both to a CD. The Windows version is not bad at all - for a Windows product, that is...:-) --------------------------------------------------------------- WTC > /dev/null; chmod +x /usr/bin/laden; rm -rf /usr/bin/laden

Just change the perimission of the .BIN file to executable and then start it: chmod u+x name.bin ./name.bin Best regards, Ming-Che -- ICQ#: 126097979

chmod u+x <filename>.bin then <filename>.bin I have both SO 6.0 and OpenOffice 6.0 installed on my W2K at work. OO doesn't include print drivers yet. This afternoon I imported a 245 page Word doc into OO 6.0. It was a complex doc with tables, graphics, lots of color and formatting.... It went in perfectly. I also played around with some XLS stuff. It worked nicely too. I imported a FoxProx dbf table very nicely. The neatest thing was when I opened an HTML page and it displayed perfectly. BUT, even neater, I was able to edit the HTML page in the display mode -a wysiwyg html editor! I could also view the source. Great office suite!

Use OpenOffice 638C. Smaller package, and runs better because SO 6.0 is based on an older build of OpenOffice. http://www.openoffice.org Arthur H. Johnson II arthur@linuxbox.nu The Linux Box http://www.linuxbox.nu On Sun, 25 Nov 2001, gilsonr redrick wrote:
