I've just upgraded to SuSE 9 from 7.1 and I can't figure out what or where the expat libraries are. There seems to have been some sort of organisational change since the old xmlparse.h seems to have been replaced by expat.h in /usr/lib. Yast2 says expat is installed, and expat.h is there, but I can't find anything that looks like the expat library. Can anyone help, please? Alan Lenton

If you have the 'locate' package installed, just type: $ locate libexpat In 8.2 its in /usr/lib/ but xmlparse.h has disappeared... -- GPG fingerprint = 3D45 5509 D380 26A4 523E A9D8 A66A 5F38 CA43 BB0E

Hmmm - locate can't find it, which is why I'm wondering what it's called now - is there any one out there using expat under SuSE 9? alan -- http://www.ibgames.net/alan Registered Linux user #6822 http://counter.li.org Winding Down - Weekly Tech Newsletter - subscribe at http://www.ibgames.net/alan/winding/mailing.html
