Hello All This is actually the first time I have ever had a problem installing any versions of SuSE. I am upgrading from SuSE 6.4 to 7.0 Pro. The Installation was going fine. Up until the last 100 Packages or so. This is the error I Got. Information And error occurred during Installation/update. Please go to the selection of packages (->Start Installation) and check for lost packages. Did this there were 101 packages not installed. Check for Dep. and Started to install again. Same Error pops up. I have check the first 3 CD (Thats as far as install got) and I can read and copy without any problems. Now I tried to install the packages 1 at a time and got same error as above. The new upgrade also wiped my Apache localhost link. Any Ideas Patrick -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

Do you turn off the modem while doing the installation? That is a vital thing to do during SuSE installation process for some reasons, at least with the external SupraExpress modems. Helgi Örn On Wed, 04 Oct 2000, you wrote:

Yep, two that I can think of right off hand. First is the CD is bad. Not likely, but a possibility. The second got me the same responses on 6.4.. A Dirty CD. Not really bad, but a couple of fingerprints when I fumbled the CD putting it in. I guess the reader was pretty picky that day.
