Hi, I'm trying to download the latest samba rpm from the following link: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/6.4/n1/samba.rpm Istead of offering me to download it to a local directory (on my fresh install SuSE6.4) it displays the file in the browser. Is there a setting in Netscape I might need to click or maybe another solution? I'm still very new to Linux. advTHANKSance Mariann -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Netscape does this by default. You can go into preferences/ navigator/applications and change the rpm listing to download to 'disk'. Believe this is what you are looking for. Just wait till it's done then click file then save as and it will write it to disk. -- Mark Hounschell dmarkh@cfl.rr.com -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
