James I like the idea of using this program it looks pretty straight forward. What files should I backup be for I get started installing and changing things. That way If it brakes I at least can copy things back and fix it tell I get it working. Thanks David

Be careful! I just installed that little thing on my Dell laptop and the first thing that happened is my wireless card stopped working. Never did get the daemon to work but it sure killed the driver. I had to reinstall the drivers from the cd using Linuxant driverloader to get back on the air. Sure would like to have something like that working when I travel. Maybe another time. RA Old age ain't for Sissies!

I've encountered the following: - netapplet: quite cute, but on my laptop sometimes ends up disabling the wireless. - NetworkManager (gnome): does "everything" :). haven't tried it yet but the sources look very interesting. Cheers, Laur
