FORCING dhcp to provide a valid IP address..
My laptop was working fine on my network until yesterday since then it looks like the dhcp client is not getting a valid IP. I asked the net-admin and he told me to FORCE my linux box to get a valid IP address. How should I do this?. I restarted the dhcp client several times, or at least thats what I think (I did: dhcpcd -k, and then: dhcpcd), I also checked the netconfig and is bringinme a not valide IP (192.168.x.xx - out of the range of my subnet) and when I checked the dynamic ip checkbox it came unchecked again. Sugestion please. ===== Ricardo A.
